Sickle
Joins the crescent
In the heavens.
Star
returns
to the eyes of children.
Hammer alone,
aching from
an unromantic genesis,
starts blowing
on the nail heads
fated to hang history
in pictures.
FIGURING
You: A dot of sun
I: A speck of green.
In acute restraint
we die of want
between us.
Still in control
of our craving,
we wander.
And, a whole sun
in boundless rising
parting the dark!
A rapturous
sea of green!
In the horizon of life,
everything
just as in the beginning.
ON COMING
Who, girlie, who,
who is your Grandpa?
My grandpa is a feudal lord
during the fall of the provinces.
And who,
who is your Pa?
Pa, is a communist
born in feudal likeness.
Your Ma,
and your Grandma?
I can’t remember,
aren’t they the womenfolk?
Now, let’s have
a feminist poem.
No! It won’t come:
that one is in rags!
